The Melbourne Bike Grid Map
This is a custom google map created by Adrian Lobo that makes it really easy to find good routes to ride, and is much better than relying on Google Maps ‘Cycling Mode’

Apps
Apps like Google Maps are optimised for Cars, and often don’t pick the best routes for bikes to ride.
Creating a route with Strava uses information from cycling journeys to favour cycling routes, whether formal or informal, on Road or Shared Paths, which is great for finding local shortcuts and unmarked paths.
Journey planning with Arevo allows you to choose quieter back streets, or more direct main-roads when planning a route – something google, waze, or apple maps won’t let you do! This can be much better for people on bikes who prefer quieter, more relaxed routes.
