Our call to local and state government is to:
1. Increase funding for active and sustainable transport projects, in particular key projects from the 2004 and 2012 Moonee Valley cycling strategies
3. Engage residents with transparent project pipeline and prioritisation to ensure the most impactful projects are funded in a meaningful order.
2. Build a culture of active transport within government to embed active and sustainabile transport decision making in alignment with ‘MV2040 green and connected’.
Our primary advocacy objectives are:
1. Help people to find safe ways to travel through Moonee Valley by improving signage of the Cragieburn Rail Corridor and along the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail
2. Fix the missing link in the Mt Alender Road bicycle lanes, by connecting the existing bike lanes from Buckley St to Dean St.
3. Connect the Maribyrnong River Trail to the City by building bike lanes along Epsom Rd and Racecourse Rd
